About ALASCA (English)

ALASCA - Amsterdam Liberal Arts & Sciences Academy (or in Dutch: academie) - is a Dutch, publicly funded school offering modern and innovative education for the artists, academics and leaders of tomorrow. We challenge our students to think and act, to analyze and to be involved.
We offer a balanced and contemporary curriculum, focused on teaching students digital skills, philosophical and conceptual skills, research methodology, English langugage skills and broad perspectives on both social and scientific issues based on the principles of liberal arts & sciences.

Our school is located on Zeeburgereiland and easy to reach by both car and public transport. Out building is modern, open and perfectly suited for modern education. We have lab facilities and workshops for the sciences, arts, music, technology/IT and design.

Strating in academic year 21/22, we aim to offer the IB Diploma Programme in our senior years. Application for the programme is open to both current ALASCA-students and students switching from other schools.

For any prosepective students from international backgrounds, who do not (yet?) speak Dutch, we offer a summary of some of the general information about our school, as well as detailed information about our IB Programme.
